“Drea has down several sessions with me during her study of Alternative Medicine. The sessions were done as part of her long distance training. At first I did not understand this practice but after the first session I felt a surge of energy. Drea did not know where my physical concerns were located but her ability and accuracy to locate issues was right on.
This non-invasive, holistic manner of treatment may have many skeptical but I am convinced that it does help with many aspects of healing. Drea takes her time explaining the results of the session and answers questions in a manner that one understands.
Holistic medicine is not very well understood in this culture but if you are looking for an alternative method to health and healing Drea is a good choice. Give her a call and she will explain how this approach works!” – Dianne H.
How I Work:
I conduct an initial interview, approximately 15 minutes, to determine what the potential client is looking for and if I am qualified for what they need. If we do feel like a match, I have them fill out detailed questionnaires on body systems, symptoms, toxicity and/or candida, and a week-long food, mood, and elimination diary.
The client reads and signs a document which states I, as practitioner, do not diagnose, treat, or cure; The natural health plan is based on information collected and I am not held liable for omitted health conditions, prescriptions, or treatments which may impact the outcome; and Choosing to include a holistic regimen is a personal decision, the client assumes responsibility for their health, and my role is to act as teacher and coach. I take into account the presenting complaint they have at the time. There is a basic intake form including health history, methods they have tried or are using, medications, supplements, and herbs.
Upon review of the materials, I design a plan for them. I meet with the client to discuss the findings, what I feel the best course of action may be, how they feel about the plan, what challenges they face implementing the plan, goals, concerns, desired outcome, and next steps. I assess based on what I can do as an unlicensed practitioner, which is observation of skin, eyes, hair, and body structure/type, mental and emotional states. I use any medical information they are willing to provide (lab tests, vitals, diagnoses, etc.) to determine course of action. This can be up to two hours of consulting time. I also spend several hours researching the issues and “remedies” away from my time with a client. I am able to do accurate muscle testing without needing to touch the client to further find a remedy that is aligned with the individual. My first concern is the safety of the remedy for the client- allergies, medical conditions, and drug interactions.
My modalities are diet, cooking, nutrition, lifestyle changes, botanicals, essential oils, homeopathic remedies, and energy healing. I will also recommend other modalities, which I do not provide, like chiropractic, cranial-sacral therapy, acupuncture, massage, and others. I have no issue referring a client to a medical professional I know does very good work and I trust, if it were me.
Once they begin their plan, to the best of their ability, we agree on one or two week check-in (based on the condition or issue) to evaluate reactions, progress, and how they feel. They can contact me any time with questions or concerns. This goes for as long as needed. The goal is to get monthly or bi-monthly evaluations and implement further changes, and assess progress.
Each person is a biochemical and bioenergetic individual. What works for one may not work for another. It is also a variable how someone will respond to any of the modalities I recommend, should they choose to implement them.
