I can share what I have been doing to protect myself and aid my immune system.

An effort of prevention is going to help down the road.
Prevention and immune support should be all year, not just faced with a highly contagious virus.
I am going to repeat the guidelines:
Wash your hands.
Cover coughs and sneezes in the elbow.
Only make necessary trips out.
Clean and disinfect surfaces frequently.
Please donโt go out if you are sick.
I would also place people with congestive heart failure (CHF) as high-risk.
In my experience with my dad, these people can take on fluid in the lungs under normal conditions.
Having a healthy biological terrain:
This means the body is primed to defend and throw off invaders, like a virus. To make it simple, it is like having a rough surface that snags every fiber and lint that goes near it OR a smooth surface that doesnโt snag or catch and is easily cleaned.

I donโt want to get sick.
I am doing as much as I can for myself to prevent contracting and in the event I should get the virus, I want my body to be able to throw it off as efficiently and quickly as possible.
I have my typical nutrition and herbal regimen.
I added more garlic. Daily I take probiotics, zinc, Cataplex A, vitamin D, my nutritive tea blend which includes rosehips that are high in vitamin C, B complex vitamins, and immune support product Immuplex.
I also manage stress- stress response suppresses the immune system. Meditation is a vital aid for the wellness of the body.
I have my bone broth (recipe atย dremariholisticwellness.net/blog).
Before and after I go out, I do a steamer inhalation:
simmering water,
1/8 teaspoon of Redmond Real Salt,
and a drop of therapeutic-grade tea tree oil (Desert Essence or Thursday Plantation are the only tea tree oils I use) in a ceramic mug.
I make a funnel over the mug with a small towel and have the opening on my nose and mouth. I donโt like to get the vapors in my eyes, so I do not have the towel over my whole head.
Careful not to get steam burns from boiling waterโthat is why I simmer.

The virus is reported to not like hot damp conditions (this info may change as research develops).
I would advise against using tea tree in a diffuser. Small children and pets can be adversely affected by essential oils. They have small bodies and cannot metabolize the concentrated substances as well as an adult. I used tea tree oil as a child and had no problems. Please be wise when using and essential oil.
I have a steam cleaner, which I use to blast doorknobs, keys, and surfaces I touchโฆ and my shoes that I wear out.
Items and surfaces are wiped with a non-toxic disinfectant spray. Having had a mother with environmental illness/chemical sensitivity, I stick with non-chemical methods.
